From 200 year old books to 1960s cocktail shakers, Victorian tools to hi-fi stereos and unworn wedding dresses, Collectables is truly a unique shop full of retro, kitsch, modern, antique (and just about everything in-between) treasure and bargains.

Restocked with a truckload of salvaged and donated goods weekly, Collectables is essentially the ‘Paris’ end of reusable goods, hand picked by our experienced staff to give you the best choice of the oldest, funkiest, retro and collectable items available. The shop is full of the weird and the wonderful, somewhere between a 2nd-hand store and social-history museum. You can always find clothes, shoes, glassware, ceramics, artwork, posters, books, antique tools, radios, vintage electronics, videos, records, CDs, old newspapers and magazines, toys, suitcases and handbags, cameras, small bits of furniture, as well as fascinating Tasmaniana and Australiana! 

The truth is we never know what will have been salvaged or donated that week whether electronics to measure the universe's cosmic rays to glamorous 1970s burlesque show outfits.

If you have ever watched the ABC Collectors program you will be aware of the sort of amazing goods we have on sale. In fact many of the collectors featured on the program are regular customers! And unlike some antique shops we encourage you to relax and spend as long as you want browsing.

The Resource Collectables shop is located in Hobart’s CBD at 117 Elizabeth Street, just one block north of the mall. There are bus stops nearby, two close parking stations, as well as metered street parking.
